Hail Mary Bet Time…
The end of the regular season is upon us.
Some teams have already wrapped up playoff-births and others are still jockeying for position. All while the degenerate gamblers, like myself, try to get one last score.
A Hail Mary bet of shorts…
Thankfully, it only takes one the way we’re betting.
So, without any more delay, let’s get right into the action.
Mr. Yours Truly, Mr. SportsKnowItAll, is selecting a 5-game parlay mixed between the NFL and the College Football National Championship.
‘Never Bet the Farm4’ Week 18:
HOU Texans -1 @ IND Colts
GB Packers -3 vs CHI Bears
OVER 47 total pts. DAL Cowboys @ WAS Commanders
BUF Bills -2.5 @ MIA Dolphins
Washington +4.5 vs Michigan
Insights:
The Texans and Colts both need this win to get into the playoffs. Indianapolis beat Houston early this year, but that was when Anthony Richardson was the Indy quarterback. This time, I’m betting the Texans avenge that earlier loss and make the playoffs.
The Packers need to win to get in on Sunday. It’s also a big opportunity for Jordan Love to cement himself as the Green Bay QB of the future. I like his chances as I’m betting the Packers to win and cover at home.
The Dallas offense has looked unstoppable at times, and I’m expecting much of the same in Washington D.C. With a line of 47 total points, I’m going with the OVER here.
Buffalo and Miami have a meaningful game to play in South Beach. While the Dolphins have been consistently up-and-down this season, the Bills started poorly and have gotten hot as of late. I’m expecting that to continue as the Bills win and cover.
In my opinion, Michael Penix Jr. is the best quarterback in college football. I thought he should have won the Heisman too. Is Michigan a better team than Washington? Maybe… But only one team has Penix. So, I’m betting Washington will at least cover in the National Championship!
