Merry Christmas to all…
Tis’ the season to celebrate, and the football world is joining alongside with holiday games all throughout.
So, without any more delay, let’s get right into the action.
Mr. Yours Truly, Mr. SportsKnowItAll, is selecting a 5-game parlay mixed between a Bowl Game and the NFL Christmas-weekend.
‘Never Bet the Farm4’ Week 16:
OVER 41.5 total pts. Utah vs Northwestern
CIN Bengals -3 @ PIT Steelers
TB Buccaneers -1.5 vs JAX Jaguars
OVER 49.5 total pts. DAL Cowboys @ MIA Dolphins
OVER 41 total pts. LV Raiders @ KC Chiefs
Insights:
Northwestern has had a great end of the year, and they’re thrilled to be in the Las Vegas Bowl. Utah comes in with a losing streak, but I expect the game to be high scoring and entertaining. I’m tuning in and going with the OVER.
The Bengals are in the playoff race, even without Burrow. I’m looking for them to continue in a road-matchup on Saturday. This rivalry is almost always close, but I’m betting Cincinnati to cover!
In Baker I trust… At least for the moment. Coming off his best professional game ever (statistically), Baker will look to continue against a the Jaguars. It’s still unclear if Trevor Lawrence will play for Jacksonville. Either way, I’m betting Tampa Bay will cover.
The game of the week (on paper) is the Cowboys coming to South Beach. This matchup will hopefully tell us more about these teams. They both look like Super Bowl contenders at times, but it doesn’t last week to week. I’m expecting this game to be high scoring, and I’m going with the OVER.
The Raiders vs Chiefs on Christmas… I guess we should thank Santa, right? The Chiefs haven’t looked like their Super-Bowl-selves as of late, and the Raiders are playing better than ever. I think a lot of points will be scored in this one, so I’m betting the Christmas OVER (not leftovers).
