Last Quarter of the season…
Week 14 is upon us, and it’s officially the last quarter of the NFL season. These are the final chances for teams to secure playoff spots. Time for teams to give their final push!
You always know the NFL gets more serious and exciting after the college football regular season ends with an annual Army vs Navy game, which only the most degenerate gamblers bet on – so you know we’re looking into it here.
Without any more delay, let’s get right into the action.
Mr. Yours Truly, Mr. SportsKnowItAll, is selecting a 5-game parlay mixed between the contests on Saturday and Sunday.

OVER 27.5 total pts. Army vs Navy
DET Lions -3.5 @ CHI Bears
UNDER 44 total pts. IND Colts vs CIN Bengals
KC Chiefs -1.5 vs BUF Bills
OVER 51.5 total pts. PHI Eagles vs DAL Cowboys
Insights:
As the last quarter of the NFL season starts, it’s time for Army vs. Navy. The oddsmakers are predicting it to be a low scoring game, which history supports, but I think 27.5 overall points is way too low. In fact, as an American, I take it as an offense to our nation’s offensive firepower. These are college athletes and heroes, so I’m betting the OVER in a game that too few people wager.
Detroit is still playing for playoff positioning, and the Bears seem to only play on random occasions. The Lions can sadly play down to their level of competition, but I don’t think that will matter this week. I’m choosing Detroit to win by a touchdown+.
The Bengals and Colts are both playing their backup QBs with decent success. It’s a testament to their team defenses and special teams. Hence, I’m betting the UNDER in their matchup!
The Chiefs have had the Bills number for the last few seasons, especially in the playoffs. Neither team is playing up to their best abilities, but I like Kansas City at home. I’m picking Mahomes and company to get back to their winning ways and cover.
On Sunday night, I’m expecting a Texas-style offensive shootout in AT&T Stadium between the Eagles and Cowboys. This game has huge divisional and playoff implications, so I expect both teams bring their best game plans. I’m picking the OVER here!
