Championship Week is upon us…
Time for the College Football Playoff Committee to try to make sense of things.
There are a few possible worst-case scenarios for the Committee, and I’m obviously cheering for all of those. Regardless, I’m sure things will be much clearer after this weekend.
So, without any more delay, let’s get right into the action.
Mr. Yours Truly, Mr. SportsKnowItAll, is selecting a Championship Week 5-game parlay between college football and the NFL.
‘Never Bet the Farm4’ Week 13:
OVER 44 total pts. Miami OH vs Toledo
OVER 47 total pts. SMU vs Tulane
Alabama +5 vs Georgia
OVER 49.5 total pts. MIA Dolphins vs WAS Commanders
UNDER 33.5 total pts. ATL Falcons vs NY Jets
Insights:
It’s been a good offensive year in the MAC, so I’m expecting the same in their conference championship. Both Toledo and Miami can move the ball. I’m betting the OVER!
SMU and Tulane fans are both actively worrying about their respective head coaches leaving for better opportunities. Seems like the SMU Athletic Department is handling their media coverage better than Tulane; however, both coaches assured fans there would be no distractions. Tough to talk about anything aloud and it not be distracting, right? Luckily, the players will get to decide everything on the field. I’m betting on the offenses and the OVER.
Georgia hasn’t lost in what feels like forever, and Alabama is playing some of the best football in the country. After a thrilling Iron Bowl victory last week, I’m thinking the SEC Championship will be a close game. I’m betting on the Crimson Tide and +5!
The Miami Dolphins haven’t been putting up as many points as of late, but thankfully, the Washington Commanders don’t have a very good defense. Plus, I expect the Washington offense to play better than usual, so I’m going with the OVER.
This is a low overall number, 33.5 total points, but I’m really not expecting much from these offenses. Only one thing to do in that case… I’m betting the UNDER!
