Never Bet the Farm4 [W5] – First quarter (sorta)

October 7, 2023

First quarter down…

Well, it’s almost done.

See… This whole 17-week thing kind of changes everything!

NFL coaches have always broken down seasons into four quarters of weeks; however, when the owners added an odd 17th game, the official pole marker had to be moved (technically).

Now, the season’s first quarter ends after the first quarter this week.

But I’m not worrying about all that.

I don’t mess around with fractions.

I don’t do parts… Because I want it all!

So, without any more delay, let’s get right into the action.

Mr. Yours Truly, Mr. SportsKnowItAll, is choosing this 6-game parlay mixed between college football and the NFL.

‘Never Bet the Farm4’ Week 5:

Alabama -1.5 @ Texas A&M
Colorado -4.5 @ Arizona State
HOU Texans +1.5 @ ATL Falcons
OVER 47.5 total pts. NY Giants @ MIA Dolphins
BAL Ravens -4.5 @ PIT Steelers
NO Saints -1 @ NE Patriots

Insights:

Nick Saban might rarely lose to his former assistants, but Jimbo Fisher does have a recent win against the Bama legend. Either way, I don’t expect the same thing to happen this time. The Crimson Tide is improving each week, and I’m betting Alabama wins by a touchdown+.

Colorado is looking to get back to their winning ways, and it’s always tough to keep Coach Prime down. I’m looking for Colorado to win by 10 points+.

CJ Stroud has been the best rookie QB this season (so far). Add the jetlag from the Falcons traveling back from Europe/Andy’s Room, and I think the surging Texans will win in Atlanta.

As I mentioned in another post, no over is safe with the Miami Dolphins this season. The Giants defense shouldn’t slow things down either. I’m betting the over in this one!

The Ravens already have a first-quarter stronghold on the AFC North, and I’m expecting them to strengthen their lead on Sunday. I’m looking for Baltimore to win by 10 points+.

The Saints have played close games every week except the last one. Derek Carr is still listed as Questionable, but it sounds like he’ll start – just like last week. New England is banged up with injuries, especially on the defensive end, and I think that’ll hurt them against New Orleans. I’m betting the Saints will win another close one in Foxborough!

I use the FanDuel Sportsbook App to place my action, and it looks like (hopefully) my $10 should age into $509.20 before the first quarter of SNF.

Badda-bing, Badda-boom.

EASY MONEY !!!

Obviously, you should ONLY gamble at your own risk; however, if you do decide to make any wagers on FanDuel Sportsbook, you’re welcome to use my friend’s referral link:

That’s several weeks of action the way we’re playing.

Just remember all you wannabes (like always)… Don’t bet any more than you’re willing to lose.

And Never Bet the Farm4!
