Taylor Swift who?
And what does she have to do with football?
It’s like the entire world has gone mad with what might be the lamest love story ever told. I just don’t get it.
I’m actually a big Kelce fan, so this is throwing me for a loop.
What’s the big fascination with Taylor Swift?
See… this isn’t my first time being annoyed by this particular pop princess. My old-lady went to her concert this summer.
Or more accurately, Tay-Tay took over my entire city this summer, and my girlfriend attended the mania.
Heck, even the city zoo had $13 tickets on sale in honor of the pop-star’s favorite number.
Side Note: Who picks 13 as their lucky number? Freddy Krueger?
Now, she’s taking over the entire NFL – even sports betting itself.
The FanDuel Sportsbook App has an entire player prop-bet category dedicated to the new romance.
Notice the different Taylor Swift references in the bet names.
NO!!! I didn’t get the references myself!
I don’t listen to her music. My girl does and she translated.
In fact, after I found out how much she spent on tickets, I won’t even let her mention Taylor Swift by name.
She has to refer to her as “the artist who must not be named,” but I still cringe every time.
Those tickets could have been better used as bets. So, without any more delay, let’s get right into the action.
Mr. Yours Truly, Mr. SportsKnowItAll, is choosing a 6-game parlay mixed between college football and the NFL.
‘Never Bet the Farm4’ Week 4:
Florida +1.5 @ Kentucky
Mississippi +2.5 vs LSU
Notre Dame -5.5 @ Duke
JAX Jaguars -3 vs ATL Falcons
OVER 53.5 total pts. MIA Dolphins @ BUF Bills
KAN Chiefs -9.5 @ NY Jets
Insights:
Florida looked really good against Tennessee, and the defense is playing great now. Kentucky hasn’t played any tough competition yet. I’m guessing this will be a rude awakening for the Wildcats at home. I’m betting on the Gators to cover and likely win!
Last week, Ole Miss should have beaten Alabama in my opinion. They kind of blew the game in the second half. I’m expecting them to regroup and play well against LSU at home. I’m looking for Mississippi to cover and most likely win too.
Notre Dame should have won last week also! They were basically one defensive player away from a “W.” I’m expecting Sam Hartman and the Fighting Irish to rebound well against Duke on the road. I’m betting on Notre Dame to win and cover!
Jacksonville and Atlanta are playing in England this weekend. Supposedly, Toy Story is animating the game or something. I don’t know about all that, but I like the Jaguars offense. These European games are often blowouts, so I’m expecting Jacksonville to win by 10+ points.
No over-spread is safe when the Dolphins are scoring 70 points! I don’t believe the Bills defense will slow the Dolphins down much, especially in some mid-70 degree Buffalo weather. Plus, the Bills have an offense that can score in bunches too. Henceforth, I’m betting the over!
I’m passing on the Travis prop-bets, but I do like the Chiefs chances against the Jets. New York struggles to move the ball, and the best defensive strategy against Patrick Mahomes is to control the clock. I’m expecting Kansas City to win by two touchdowns+.
I’m using the FanDuel Sportsbook App to place my action – although I’m passing on the Taylor prop bets.
In fact, they wouldn’t mix with my parlay anyway.
Looks like (hopefully) my $10 should blossom to $481.45 before you’re listening to Taylor Swift during the Monday morning commute. (It’s not like the radio plays many other musicians.)
Badda-bing, Badda-boom.
EASY MONEY !!!
