Never Bet the Farm4 [W3] – So close

September 23, 2023

So close…

So close, again.

Not quite as close as the week prior (simply because the Saints decided to basically spot the Panthers a final eight points at the very end of the game – which pushed/voided that part of my parlay).

Nevertheless, for the second week in a row, I was waiting on a late weekend Prime Time finale to potentially cash out a big parlay win.

But once again, sadly, the betting Gods had something else in mind. Well…

What have we learned this season so far?

Never to trust the Giants or Browns?

Yeah, that’s probably right.

Still, I think we might be missing the true culprit.

What if it’s Prime Time itself?

You might not be able to tell from my stale-liquor breath and staggering posture, but I’m actually a big fan of the scientific method and creating hypotheses.

This week, I’m trying to stay away from late Sunday or Monday night games.

So, without any more delay, let’s get right into the action.

Mr. Yours Truly, Mr. SportsKnowItAll, is choosing this 6-game parlay mixed between college football and the NFL.

‘Never Bet the Farm4’ Week 3:

OVER 55.5 total pts. Mississippi @ Alabama
Notre Dame +3 vs Ohio State
OVER 50.5 total pts. North Carolina @ Pittsburgh
NE Patriots -2.5 @ NY Jets
LA Chargers +1.5 @ MN Vikings
NO Saints +1.5 @ GB Packers

Insights:

I really have no idea who will win this game between Lane Kiffin and Nick Saban, but I do believe there will be scoring involved. That’s why I’m going with the OVER!

There’s a lot of history when you look back at these two historic programs, but this is a new era of football, and I think the Fighting Irish have the better team when you add in the QB. If Notre Dame can slow down Marvin Harrison (at all), I think this will be a very close game. So, I’m happy to get an extra three points and pick the Fighting Irish to cover.

North Carolina and Pittsburgh both have better offenses than defenses, in my opinion, so I’m expecting the game to be high scoring. That means I’m going with the OVER!

The Jets lost their wings after Rogers went down. I don’t believe things will get any easier against New England. I’m looking for the Patriots to win by a touchdown+.

No other team needs a win quite as bad as the Chargers. This team had the highest of hopes for the season, and now, they must win to keep much of anything alive. Thankfully for all LA football fans, I think that win might come this weekend. I’m looking for the Chargers to cover and win.

Derek Carr has been playing some good ball. Sadly for Saints fans, most of the NFC South has been playing well too. Going into Green Bay and winning could go a long way for the Saints as they try to keep up with their division. I think Carr does that this weekend. I’m betting New Orleans will cover and win.

I’m using the FanDuel Sportsbook App to place my action now. Looks like (hopefully) my $10 should expand to $481.45 before Carry Underwood starts singing “Sunday Night.”

Badda-bing, Badda-boom.

EASY MONEY !!!

Obviously, you should ONLY gamble at your own risk; however, if you do decide to make any wagers on FanDuel Sportsbook, you’re welcome to use my friend’s referral link:

That’s several weeks of action the way we’re playing.

Just remember all you wannabes (like always)… Don’t bet any more than you’re willing to lose.
