I guess you can call it that, but I won’t really know what you mean.
But…
During a week with fewer things to wager on, a man must expand his horizons. Luckily for me, the World Cup is kicking its way to the finals. So, without any further delay, let’s get right into this week’s action.
Mr. Yours Truly, Mr. SportsKnowItAll, is going with a mixed 6-game parlay between college football, the FIFA World Cup, and NFL games.

SEA Seahawks -3.5 vs CAR Panthers
TEN Titans -3.5 vs JAX Jaguars

Insights:
Teams have been playing really conservatively during this round of the knockout stage (both games Friday went to shootouts). Lots to lose, so I’m expecting each team to start out tight. Look for the under!
As I mentioned last year, only real degenerates like myself wager on the Army-Navy game. With that said, I think both teams have better offenses than in years past. Obviously, there’s no running up the score in this one, but I still think the competitive back-and-forth should add up. I’m going with the over!
The Seahawks have been beating the teams they’re supposed to this season, and I expect that to continue at home against the Panthers. Carolina might be in full-tank mode by now, especially on a west-coast road match up. Look for Seattle to win by a touchdown+.
The Titans are still playing for something, while the Jaguars are only playing for pride. Tennesse does have a big enough lead in the division to squander this game, but I’m not expecting it. The Titans should win by 10 points+.
Get your popcorn ready for this one! There should be some scoring between the Dolphins and the Chargers. Check your defenses at the door! Ultimately, I think Miami has too much firepower. Look for the Dolphins to win and cover!
The Vikings have been surprisingly good this season. So, I was a little surprised to see them as an underdog in Detroit. Maybe the oddsmakers know something I don’t, but my ego can’t let me pass up what I think I know for sure (it’s only gotten me in trouble a few hundred times). I’m going with the Vikings and points.
