64 & Counting (Part 1)

March 17, 2022

64 & counting…

Yet, I feel I must address something first.

I get asked this dumb question all the time.

‘Ah, well… What happens to you after the NFL season is over, SportsKnowItAll?’

‘Do you vanish away into thin air or something, gawrsh?’

What type of question is that?

Like I’m a fictional character from some stupid overseasoned root beer commercial.

I’m real dangit! I’m a man!

Almost near 40!

Still One of the Greatest Rants Ever!!!

‘You’re avoiding the question, SportsKnowItall?’

Who the heck said that?!?!

Not that I think it’s any of your-alls business…

What do I do in the off-season?

Spend “quality” time with the family?

Meditate and find a more centered self?

Pick up an enriching hobby like cultivating succulents or painting?

NAH, lol!

That doesn’t work for this degenerate.

I’m always making moves.

I might just not be sharing them all with your ungrateful behinds.

Now, March Madness has bounced back into our lives once again, and (as all the NCAA executives start counting their annual TV monopoly monies), I certainly get my own action down on the table as well.

Let’s get right into it then…

Mr. Yours Truly, a.k.a. the genius who brought you Never Bet the Farm (Part 1 & 2), Mr. SportsKnowItAll, is going with a buzzer-beating, 5-game parlay in Men’s NCAA tournament games on Thursday.

64 & Counting (Part 1):

Gonzaga -23.5 vs Georgia State
Arkansas -5 vs Vermont
Memphis -3.5 vs Boise State
South Dakota State +2 vs Providence
Akron +13.5 vs UCLA

Insights:

Admittedly, it’s called March Madness for a reason.

Insights are tough to come by; here are my thoughts…

In my opinion, Gonzaga is the best team in the tournament, and I think they’ll come out motivated to start. It’s not really a question of winning as much as covering this wildly-high spread. A solid start and big lead coming out of halftime should get us where we need to be, hopefully.

Arkansas impressed me throughout the SEC tournament. I think their overall athleticism will end up being too much for Vermont.

Memphis has been one of the hottest teams in America until they hit a wall against Houston. That’s mostly a credit to the Cougars, and Memphis is a dangerous team in this tournament. I sadly haven’t watched much of Boise State this year, but I’m overly confident on the Tigers.

The South Dakota State Jackrabbits have the nation’s longest current winning streak at 21 games (they last lost on December 15, 2021). Plus, they’ve won 30 games this year. I’ll take that and two points to share against Providence.

Although I think UCLA will win, I sense a tense and stressful game for Mick Cronin’s squad. Akron is a tough team that makes things difficult on the defensive end. Look for it to be an ugly game throughout and UCLA to win by less than double-digits.

As you can see, I placed my bet through the nifty Barstool Sportsbook & Casino App. It shows us how my $10 down should bring back a crisp $233.47. Couldn’t have been easier… Didn’t even have to go inside with the app.

Badda-bing, badda-boom.

EASIEST MONEY!

Now hurry up. Place those bets.

Let’s make some money off the 64 & counting.

Everybody else is…

Just remember all you wannabes,

Don’t bet any more than you’re willing to lose, and never bet the farm.

About SportsKnowItAll

Your mother lights a cigarette and passes the lighter to SportsKnowItAll. He grimaces at another sunny day. There are lines to study and edges to find. Not to mention he needs to call back the wife. She should be wondering where he has been by now. It's not that a low-life, grizzled approach is more effective; it's simply how he lives!
