Never Bet the Farm2 [W17] – Happy New Year!

January 2, 2022

Happy New Year!

And like a bad record on repeat, people have already begun to ask if I have any resolutions for this year.

Why would I ever need to change something about myself?

I’m awesome! I know it all!

The gambling gods are the ones who need to start making some resolutions now, and they can start by making this a winning ticket.

No better way to start 2022, so let’s get straight into it.

Mr. Yours Truly, Mr. SportsKnowItAll, is starting the year off right with my own New Year’s 6-game parlay (get it?).

‘Never Bet the Farm2’ Week 17:

PIT Steelers +3.5 vs CLE Browns
MIN Vikings +13 @ GB Packers
HOU Texans +12 @ SF 49ers
ARI Cardinals +6 @ DAL Cowboys
KC Chiefs -4.5 @ CIN Bengals
LA Rams -5.5 @ BAL Ravens

Insights:

It’s most likely Big Ben’s last ride in Pittsburgh with all the reports he’s retiring at the end of the season. Cleveland has the better rushing attack, but the Steelers are motivated to send their aging QB out with a win. This will be an old-school football game. Look for the Steelers to cover and win!

The Packers will likely win at home against Minnesota, but I think the oddsmakers overshot themselves on this one. I see this as a 10-point game, so look for the Vikings to cover accordingly.

Houston has surprised a couple of teams as of late, and I’m not very confident with the 49ers. Even at home, I think 12 points is too high of a spread. Look for the Texans to keep it close and cover!

People seem to be sold on Dallas, and that means Vegas has begun the overrating process. The Cardinals are an offensive masterpiece when everything is working right, and I think they’ll play just well enough in Jerry’s World. Look for them to cover at least!

The 1st place Bengals face a litmus-test team this week — the Kansas City Chiefs. Although I believe Cincinnati will win the AFC North, Patrick Mahomes is on a roll again. Watch out, everybody! Look for the Chiefs to win by 10+.

Both the Rams and Ravens can’t afford to lose a game with their tight divisional races. The status of Lamar Jackson is up in the air still, so I’m assuming Baltimore could struggle. Look for the Rams to win by a touchdown+.

The nifty bet builder here shows how $10 down should bring back $470.36 for a Happy New Year. Badda-bing, Badda-boom.

EASY MONEY!

Out with the old bets and in with the new.

Now get them down before it’s too late.

Just remember all you wannabes…

Don’t bet any more than you’re willing to lose, and never bet the farm2.
