NCAA Halloween Edition: Trick or Treat Class!
Despite some scary betting results recently, I’m back at it again like anyone who has ever re-tried candy corn — again.
(thanks for the joke, Lewis Black)
So, without delaying for another picture with the 100th slutty blind referee costume you see, let’s get into these spooky selections.
Mr. Yours Truly, Professor SportsKnowItAll, is going with a frightfully brilliant 5-game parlay for this Saturday.
Here’s my NCAA Halloween ‘never bet the farm2’ action for Week 8:
Penn State +18.5 @ Ohio State
BYU -2.5 vs Virginia
SMU +1 @ Houston
Auburn -2.5 vs Ole Miss
Colorado +24 @ Oregon
Insights:
Penn State and Ohio State are more evenly matched than people want to admit. OSU will win likely, but 18.5 is way too much. Look for Penn State to cover the large spread.
BYU is much better than you think, especially against Virginia. A field goal win should be easy. Go for it!
SMU is on a mission. They’re going to win every game until playing Cincinnati. Houston will give them a run at home, but the small spread is a non-issue. Heck, SMU is possibly the best college team in the state (minus Texas A&M maybe).
Auburn is a different animal home. I think it’s like a half tiger and half eagle or something like that. Zoology aside, Ole Miss will struggle in Auburn. It’s tough to play there. No need to throw things on the field. Look for the Tigers to win by a touchdown+.
Wow! Twenty-four points in a Pac-12 game… With an Oregon team who has looked inconsistent all year… Look for the Ducks to win, but Colorado should cover the spread with ease.
This nifty bet builder of mine shows $10 in should bring back a sweet treat of $253.01. Badda-bing, Badda-boom.
EASY MONEY!
Time to find a last-minute NCAA Halloween costume.
Maybe a Lane Kiffin caddy costume for the UT course?
Or am I too late?
Make sure to get your bets down too.
And just remember all you wannabes…
Don’t bet any more than you’re willing to lose, and never bet the farm2.
