This attendance-based college lecture is ready to start up again, so slide in the door before I lock you out (just like my least favorite professor from the school where I never graduated).
You know who you are… I swear your watch was fast or something.
I couldn’t have been late EVERY TIME!
But I get his point I guess…
You got the be there to participate. It’s the entire basis of putting action on the table, and a true gambler can’t argue with that.
But it’s not like I didn’t want to participate in this specific afternoon class being discussed. I simply couldn’t get there in time because the bar specials ran late from the night before.
Wednesday is too close to the weekend for class anyway.
I was set up from the beginning.
But I might as well let it go.
Nobody is crying for me.
So, without any further delay, let’s get into it!
Mr. Yours Truly, Professor SportsKnowItAll is going with an honor-roll-worthy college football 5-game parlay.
Here’s my NCAAF ‘never bet the farm2’ action for Week 7:
LSU +9 @ Ole Miss
OVER 51.5 Total Points for Miami (OH) @ Ball State
Akron +12 vs Buffalo
Oregon +2.5 @ UCLA
UNDER 59.5 Total Points for Liberty @ North Texas
Insights:
How does a team get excited for a game where golf balls, mustard, and water bottles are NOT thrown on them from the crowd? Answer — They don’t!
That’s why Ole Miss is due for an emotional letdown after the craziest sports scene I’ve ever watched on television since Ron Artest (or should I say, Meta World Peace). Shut the game down for 20 minutes. Wild!
This one will likely be much less exciting for the Rebels.
Ball State is still battling injuries, but I don’t see either team putting up a defensive struggle. Look for Miami (OH) and Ball State to score with ease. I think this over might be secured by the end of the third quarter.
Akron and Buffalo are way more evenly matched than the 12-point spread might suggest. Look for Buffalo to pull out a nail-biting win, but the Zips cover the spread nicely.
I would have loved more points for the Oregon game, but look for the Ducks to enter the Rose Bowl and win over UCLA. Pac12 games always seem to be so close.
59.5 is a lot of points for a college football game, especially between Liberty and North Texas. The Mean Green will likely struggle to stop the well-known rushing attack for Liberty. Expect it to be a shorter game than normal. The total should reflect that accordingly, and the teams will likely struggle to cover.
My nifty bet builder shows me a small $10 should bring back a celebratory $244.86.
Badda-bing, Badda-boom.
EASY MONEY!
And with that said, the classroom door slams right in your face (just like it did mine).
Don’t worry about it tho… Forget college!
You’re a gambler now anyway.
Way more money in that than any degree.
Just remember all you wannabes…
Don’t bet any more than you’re willing to lose, and never bet the farm2.
