Never Bet the Farm2 [W6] – NCAAF

October 16, 2021

NCAAF Edition: Class is in session this week, and I’ve decided to break my bets into separate posts.

Why the change now you might ask?

Well, that’s a bit of a story…

See, surprisingly enough, this actually started from a reader’s request.

Or well, I should say I originally had the idea way before, but this catalyst came from someone’s feedback (something I’m never looking for I might add).

Somebody messaged me on anti-social media asking for more details into my mastery thoughts.

They’re clearly looking for more lessons from Professor SportsKnowItAll, and who can blame them. Right?

Now having said that, and with all due respect (and I do mean ALL DUE RESPECT), I generally would respond to any such request with a simple, one-finger gesture.

I’ll let you guess the finger.

But this one caught me at the right moment.

Or during the right losing streak at least.

I was drunk too.

Anyway, it got me thinking I might want to explain my picks a little more for selfish reasons — the only way to gamble.

I need to talk these great insights out more.

“Deliberately speak things into existence,” like that one hippy-chick explained to me before I hooked up with her after a Phish show.

That was a weird week as I recall.

But enough of that.

Let’s get into it!

Mr. Yours Truly, Mr. SportsKnowItAll (or should I say ‘Professor SportsKnowItAll’ in honor of this 1st college edition — the 2nd edition will cost 3X more), is going with a Dean’s List quality 5-game parlay.

Here’s my NCAAF ‘never bet the farm2’ action for Week 6:

Texas -3.5 vs Oklahoma State
Missouri +11.5 vs Texas A&M
Ball State -1.5 @ Eastern Michigan
Toledo -5 @ Central Michigan
Ole Miss -2 @ Tennessee

Insights:

Texas is on a roll offensively in my opinion and should take care of OK State in Austin. Texas A&M is coming off its biggest win since Johnny Football, so I’m expecting a letdown this week. That’s a big spread to cover, so look for A&M to win only by one touchdown. Ball State is MAC solid and should win by more than a field goal. Toledo is MAC elite. They should have beaten Notre Dame, remember? And finally, I think the Ole Miss offense will run over Rocky Top in the ‘Lane Kiffin Revenge Bowl.’

One of several because the man coached everywhere. :-/

My nifty bet builder here shows us my $10 investment will bring me back a crisp $240.19. Badda-bing, Badda-boom.

EASY MONEY!

And I think I hear the bell ringing, students.

Better run to get those bets placed.

Just remember all you wannabes…

Don’t bet any more than you’re willing to lose, and never bet the farm2.
