Never Bet the Farm2 [W5] – Boxing Edition

October 9, 2021

Never Bet the Farm2 is just hitting its stride as we slide into the second quarter of this NFL season. And much due for a needed win, I am deciding to expand into the boxing world.

But truthfully it’s only because of this annoying guy behind me at the sportsbook. I’ll explain that in a minute.

First, let’s get to the good stuff you’re here for…

Mr. Yours Truly, Mr. SportsKnowItAll, is going with two season-changing, five-game parlay tickets. One in the college football ranks and the other one with the big boys in the NFL.

Here’s my ‘never bet the farm2’ action for Week 5:

Oklahoma -3.5 vs Texas
Michigan -3.5 @ Nebraska
Arizona +16.5 vs UCLA
LSU +3 @ Kentucky
Toledo -13 vs Northern Illinois

ATL Falcons -3 vs NY Jets
GB Packers -3 @ CIN Bengals
NE Patriots -8.5 @ HOU Texans
CAR Panthers -3.5 vs PHI Eagles
LV Raiders -5.5 vs CHI Bears

These two screenshots from this nifty bet builder show me that my two $10 investments should bring back a slick $516.77. That’s cash in my pocket.

Badda-bing, badda-boom.

EASY MONEY!

Boxing Bonus:

As for the big fight this weekend, I’m waiting in the kiosk line to place these bets. I’m clearly feeling the effects of a good evening the night before.

Rocking the shades inside — like I do.

But you can tell I’m not feeling well. It’s written all over my face.

And this guy behind me keeps asking my opinion on the Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury boxing match.

Like, wouldn’t shut up about it!

I clearly didn’t want to talk to anybody, so I coldly said it would be a tie.

Didn’t work though.

He laughed and talked more.

Thankfully, I eventually faked a phone call and talked to myself in line. Clearly a much better conversation. That is until it was my turn to place bets, so I had to politely tell myself I’d call me back after I was done focusing on my action.

Regardless, it got me looking at these boxing lines.

Let me look at anything too long, and I’ll get an opinion on it.

So, here are my thoughts on the fight…

There is really only one bet that gives me the payout I’d like, while not having to bet the farm. I’m a natural parlay man.

But I don’t know that many boxers for a parlay.

Here’s what I got:

Just please don’t share this with the dude behind me in line.

And remember all you wannabes…

Don’t bet any more than you’re willing to lose, and never bet the farm2.
