Never Bet the Farm [w11]

November 21, 2020

My apologies for the delay in this week’s ‘Never Bet the Farm’ wagers.

Frankly, I just placed the bet myself…

I’m practically sleeping at the wheel over here.

And if that’s not bad enough, my old man texted me on Monday morning, from the eternal waiting-room which is Florida, to have me place some early action — before the lines moved.

This overachiever has never heard of the internet, online gambling, or at least any other way to not have to bug his son. Forgetta Bout It!

The old man has one move.

And speaking of moving, those lines moved on you, ‘pops’.

Sorry. But not sorry.

I didn’t make it over to the sportsbook in time.

He should know better than to message me in the early morning after a weekend of bad beats. Heck, he raised me. He should get it!

Anyway, so after I came to around mid-Wednesday, I decided I better put my full effort into this week’s picks.

First off, I’m on a bit of a downward trend for those counting at home.

But more importantly, I need to win enough cash this week to pay off the old man if he wins whatever crap he thought he was betting on… Yeah, I’m not coming clean on not getting his bet down.

I don’t want that lecture. Do you?

So without any further ado, Mr. Yours Truly, Mr. SportsKnowItAll has a no-brainer, 7-game parlay between college and pro football.

Here’s my ‘never bet the farm’ action for Week 11:

Coastal Carolina (-4) vs. Appalachian State
Indiana (+21) @ Ohio State
Cincinnati (-4.5) @ UCF
Boise State (-14) @ Hawaii
CIN Bengals (+1.5) @ WAS Football Team
NE Patriots (-2) @ HOU Texans
PIT Steelers (-10) @ JAX Jaguars

My nifty bet builder tells me my small $10 investment should mature into a crisp $888.35 shortly. Badda-bing, badda-boom.

Easy money!

Plenty of payout to cover the old man’s bets and even buy myself a good couple nights at the titty bar — heck, I deserve it, you know?

Just remember all you wannabes… Don’t bet any more than you’re willing to lose, and never bet the farm. Best thing I learned from the old man.
