The GOAT does GOAT-like stuff in case you didn’t know

February 13, 2019

Once the GOAT… Always the GOAT.

And being the GOAT sometimes means letting everybody know it. Comes with the life — and this is Michael Jordan — in case you didn’t know.

Did his answer have anything to do with the question?

Of course not…

But they weren’t talking about him enough (remember here’s the GOAT after all). And that was starting to annoy him.

MJ still complimented the two All-Star players, even as reporters kept asking how much better Jordan could have been in today’s cupcake-referred NBA.

I’m tired thinking about that hypothetical, so he must be sick of it even more. I felt like he held back a little.

As best as he could at least.

Think about what’s going on now.

He’s the Charlotte Hornets owner.

Hosting All-Star Weekend.

It’s also during his birthday.

And he’s trying to hold back any negative feelings he might have from missing out on today’s game and rewards. He could have sold even more shoes. Think about it. What could have been, right?

So, good for him with keeping it lighthearted, positive and humorous.

He said a lot of positive things about Harden and Westbrook (in fact, I believe he relates better to these two scorers than a player like LeBron), but the grumpy old GOAT couldn’t pass up his own shot.

That’s why we all miss him.

And why he’s the GOAT in the first place.

Social media obviously reacted:

Damn y’all didn’t have to go in like that pic.twitter.com/IBIYu4hLC1

See, the other GOATs do the same things.

Simply part of the life.

Just a couple of GOATs doing GOAT-like stuff!

Nothing to see here — baa.

Michael Jordan: 6 Rings ā€˜Harder’ Than Streaks By James Harden and Russell Westbrook

Michael Jordan playfully threw a bit of cold water on the historic runs James Harden (30 straight 30-point games) and Russell Westbrook (10 consecutive triple-doubles) are currently on.

MJ says winning six NBA championships was a lot ā€œharderā€ than what both All-Stars are doing.Michael Jordan: Winning 6 titles tougher than Harden, Westbrook streaks of scoring, triple doubles.#NBAAllStar…

ā€œIt shows progression in the league,ā€ Jordan said during an interview at his Hornets facility while discussing the upcoming All-Star weekend . ā€œI am very proud of how both guys have done because they are making a mark for the league and I think it really helps grow the league.ā€
