Shanahan loses notebook, should have to pay price

January 31, 2017

As I’m sure you’ve undoubtedly heard by now, Atlanta Falcons Offensive Coordinator Kyle Shanahan temporarily lost his backpack during Superbowl Media Day. Everybody loses things. No big deal, right? Wrong! The playbook for the Superbowl was inside Shanahan’s backpack.

What? Shanahan’s playbook went missing on media day? Bill? #backpackgate pic.twitter.com/OgYrpm3GnU

Backpack-gate? Not quite…

Apparently, after a frantic 30 minutes of searching and panicking, a reporter returned with Shanahan’s bag – or at least that’s what Bill Belichick wants you to think!

Sadly, there isn’t much conspiracy here, although that doesn’t mean I won’t make something up. San Francisco Examiner Reporter Art Spander accidently took the Falcons Offensive Coordinator’s backpack when mistaking it for his own. Do all backpacks look alike?

Art Spander said he was worried too, but honestly nobody cares about your stuff. He’s not playing against the ‘evil empire’ in the Superbowl on Sunday.

As if I could figure it out. I was panicked because he had mine and my computer

Either way, Kyle Shanahan screwed up! You’re never supposed to lose track of your notebook/playbook. That’s a rookie mistake, and Blue Mountain State would punish such behavior. You’re definitely lucky that Thad Castle isn’t a captain on your team.

“Somebody get this guy a jock-strap and a cookie…”

A team is only as strong as its weakest link. Better shape up before Sunday, Shanahan
